I read that one and the 2nd book over the Thanksgiving holidays. Great books. Read them both in 3 days. Can't stop! To bad the final one does not come out till Sep of 2010. ARGH!!!!!

Yeah, my brother asks me if I've read this yet every time he sees me. He sees me about weekly, so it must be THAT good. someday....
If you liked this, try the "Chaos Walking" series by Patrick Ness. They've won tons of awards in the UK. I read them for my Young Adult Literature class and was addicted.
